Do not throw any rechargeable (lithium) batteries in your trash.

Alkaline batteries (AA, AAA, C and D) – Dispose of in household waste

Rechargeable batteries – Such as nickelcadmium (NiCd) and Lithium Ion (LiIon) bring to the Freeport Recycling Center door 6am-3pm M-F. Please enter the facility through the pedestrian door on the right side of the large dock door.

Button batteries – Found in watches, hearing aids, cameras, calculators and other small electronic devices.  Bring to the Freeport Recycling Center door 6am-3pm M-F. Please enter the facility through the pedestrian door on the right side of the large dock door.

Sealed Lead Acid Batteries (non-automotive) – In battery backup systems, remote control cars and home alarms. Bring to the Freeport Recycling Center door 6am-3pm M-F. Please enter the facility through the pedestrian door on the right side of the large dock door.

Lead Acid Batteries (automotive) – Bring to the Freeport Recycling Center door 6am-3pm M-F. Please enter the facility through the pedestrian door on the right side of the large dock door.
